Murder Creek Pecan Praline Moonshine comes from Alabama. Stephen Matthews started making moonshine as a hobby in 2017. By 2019 his licensed still was running in Riverview, just outside Brewton. A second distillery and tasting room now sits at OWA in Foley. The team still hand-makes every batch, then bottles and labels it by hand.
The moonshine is double distilled in small batches to a high purity. It is made without corn, so you won’t find a corny aftertaste. That clean base lets the pecan praline flavor take the lead.
Serve it well chilled in a small glass, or pour it over ice after dinner. It is lovely stirred into hot coffee or topped with cream soda. You can also use it to give a twist to your .
