Six years in the barrel and bottled at 50% ABV, McCarthy’s Oregon Single Malt Whiskey applies Scottish distilling practice to Pacific Northwest ingredients. The result is a 750 ml American single malt that reads as traditional in method while staying rooted in its Oregon origins.
Peat smoke runs through the glass alongside caramel and bright citrus, with dark chocolate, heather and spiced oak filling out the finish. The extended maturation ties the sweetness and the smoke together rather than letting either take over.
