Description
Mando de Origen Tequila Reposado is made from 100% blue Weber agave grown in Jalisco. The piñas roast slowly in brick ovens. A proprietary yeast strain handles fermentation, and copper pot stills do the distilling. The tequila then rests for 10 months in white oak barrels.
It pours a warm amber color. The nose shows oak and caramelized agave. On the palate it feels robust, with vanilla and chocolate up front. Light maple and black pepper follow. A subtle hint of grape shows up on the finish.
The brand pays tribute to the jimadores who harvest the agave by hand.
Sip it neat or over ice to enjoy the oak. It also makes a rich Reposado Margarita or Tequila Old Fashioned.
