Description
Locke + Co. Big Catch Bourbon is a Colorado small-batch whiskey built from two mash bills, one high in rye and one high in wheat, blended together rather than bottled separately. After blending, the bourbon is finished with hand-cut, charred aspen wood discs, a step that adds depth and complexity to the spirit.
The nose opens with honey and vanilla. The palate is full-bodied, carrying caramel, honey and rye spice, while the long finish turns to black pepper, toffee, brown sugar and warming cinnamon. It lands between approachable and intriguing, without tipping into the overly experimental or the predictable.
The label features collaborative artwork by Garrison Doctor and RepYourWater. Bottled at 47.5% ABV in a 750 ml bottle.
