Loca Loka Blanco made a strong start with judges. The Blanco took a Gold medal at the 2025 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, while its Reposado sibling earned Silver. The same year, the Blanco earned Bronze at the Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America Tasting Competition.
It is made from 100% highland agave grown in Jalisco. The agave is picked by hand and slow cooked. Tequilas El Mexicano distills it twice in pot stills under NOM 1588. It is bottled at 40% ABV with no additives.
Three partners started the brand in 2024. Indian film star Rana Daggubati teamed up with music composer Anirudh Ravichander and businessman Harsha Vadlamudi. The name joins two words: loca is Spanish for crazy, and loka is Sanskrit for world. It is a nod to the meeting of Mexican and Indian cultures.
The aroma leads with cooked agave. On the palate, rounder fruity notes come through, and the whole thing feels crisp and bright. The finish is subtle, with soft floral tones.
You can sip it straight or pour it over a big cube. For a twist, try the Loca Loka Cooler with coconut water, lime and a little simple syrup. It also belongs in citrus-forward like a margarita or Paloma.
