Velluto 2020 is a natural wine crafted by , in the Abruzzo region in . This red wine is made with grapes, which is a very fruit forward grape, common in the area, known as Montepulcian d’Abruzzo.
Expect a fuller body and some tannic grip
Production details of Velluto: Velluto is 100% Montepulciano d’Abruzzo from Davide Gentile and Marco Giuliani at Lammidia in Abruzzo, Italy. Their 1-hectare vineyard sits on clay and limestone soils with vines around 25 years old. Lunar-calendar farming with no tilling. Manual harvest, wild ferment, no added sulphur.
Tasting Notes: We have not yet tried this vintage of Velluto by Lammidia, but we hear it has notes of ripe plum, dark berry, gentle spice and a full tannic Montepulciano grip.
