Description
Twelve years of maturation stand behind this single malt from Knappogue Castle, bottled at 46% ABV (92 proof) in a 750 ml bottle. The limited California Barrel Select release takes the whiskey through California barrels, a finishing step that pushes it past the usual Irish single malt template.
The pour leans on honey and orchard fruit, with vanilla oak and a quiet wine influence running underneath before a smooth finish. It suits drinkers following what happens when Irish whiskey production moves in less conventional directions.
