Description
Bottled at 51.4% ABV, Kentucky Owl Bayou Mardi Gras XO Casks takes a rye whiskey in a different direction through finishing in Cognac casks. The 750 ml release carries clear grape and cognac influence alongside caramel richness, with oak maturity and dried fruit filling out the mid-palate.
The cask treatment links American whiskey-making with continental aging practice, giving this limited expression a layered character that sets it apart from standard bottlings. It reads as a whiskey built for special occasions.
