The extreme drought conditions of this vintage are evident here, with the aromas more of baked plums and blackberries and quite a sweet caramel oak gloss. The combination make it all feel a little too rich at the moment, especially on the palate with its warm alcohol and dense tannins. Perhaps it just needs time to settle.
