Description
Kaiyo The Kuri Chestnut opens with aromatics of wood and incense-like spice, present but never overpowering. The palate turns softer, layering a light floral lavender note against raisin sweetness and a cool thread of eucalyptus. Bottled at 46% ABV in a 750 ml format, it moves through the mouth with a mild, measured weight.
The finish stretches out slowly, revealing sweet ripe raspberry before settling into a gentle warmth. Oak, spice and dried fruit run through the whole profile, giving this Japanese whisky a complex character built on precision rather than volume.
