Kaiyo Japanese Mizunara Oak The Peated brings peated character into the Japanese whisky tradition. Made from malted barley and matured in Mizunara oak that has been finished in Madeira casks, it is bottled un-chill filtered.
The nose leads with smoke, backed by quiet suggestions of nuts, sweet fruit and honey. On the palate the peat turns sweet before moving into a long, drying finish that holds its complexity to the end.
