Description
Fourteen years in the making, this single malt from the Isle of Jura spends its maturation in casks that once held American rye, a choice that pushes Scottish whisky into less familiar oak territory. Bottled at 40% ABV in a 750 ml format.
The rye casks leave their mark on the spirit: honey and vanilla up front, oak spice and citrus through the middle, with Jura’s signature thread of peat underneath. The result sits between two whiskey-making traditions rather than squarely in either one.
