Description
Tobala is a wild agave varietal, and this unaged mezcal from Joshua Tree Distilling puts it front and center. The agave comes from a single estate, an approach that keeps the spirit consistent from bottle to bottle while letting the particular traits of the maguey come through.
Bottled at 40% ABV in a 750 ml format, the blanco expression skips barrel time entirely. The result leans clean and mineral, with herbaceous and earthy notes, a citrus edge, quiet spice and the natural sweetness of cooked agave reflecting the terroir where it grew.
