Description
Joseph Phelps Insignia is a Napa Valley blend presented in a 1.5 L magnum at 14.5% ABV. The wine tastes balanced, with ripe fruit, subtle oak and soft tannins carrying through to a smooth, refined finish.
Insignia began in 1974, when Joe Phelps set out to make a single blend each year that represented the finest wine possible from that vintage. It was never bound to be a Cabernet Sauvignon by definition; the only requirement was that it show the best of Joseph Phelps Vineyards.
Today Insignia is widely regarded as a qualitative benchmark for Californian winemaking, and the reason behind the winery’s longstanding reputation for excellence.
