Bottled at 17.5% ABV in a 750 ml format, Joseph Cartron Vermouth Rouge is a French aromatized wine built around herbs and spices. A caramel-edged sweetness runs through the botanical layers before the finish turns dry. That balance of sweet and bitter makes it a working component in Manhattans, Negronis and other classic mixed drinks, while it also holds up on its own as an aperitif.
