Johnnie Walker Black Cask takes a different path from the smoky character of Black Label. Put together by Master Blender Dr. Emma Walker, this 750 ml blended Scotch was inspired by Kentucky and brought together in Scotland, maturing solely in Kentucky oak casks that previously held bourbon. That single-minded cask choice pushes the blend toward sweetness and gentle spice at 43% ABV.
The aroma leads with creamy vanilla, rich caramel and toasted marshmallow. Sipping reveals honeycomb and coffee bean, with a light lemon citrus lift before a mellow, ultra-satisfying finish. It works neat, in a Black Cask Old Fashioned, or in a Black Cask Gold Rush.
