Description
Muscadine grapes, a variety native to the American South, form the base of this 750 ml fruit brandy from John Emerald. Bottled at 43% ABV, it carries the pronounced fruit signature of the grape alongside earthy notes drawn out through contact with the lees.
That lees influence builds an extra layer of complexity onto the fruity core, giving the spirit more depth than the grape alone would suggest. The result reflects both a regional distilling tradition and a willingness to experiment with how fruit brandy can be made.
