Production details of Concerto: Concerto is made by Jean-Pierre Robinot, the Loire natural wine pioneer who opened L’Ange Vin (one of Paris’s first natural wine bars) and co-founded the Le Rouge et Blanc magazine before starting his domaine in 2001. The wine is 100% Pineau d’Aunis grown by Philippe Tessier in the Touraine on limestone soils. Hand harvest, whole-bunch ferment with three weeks of maceration, then aged a year in old barrels. No added sulphur. ONE PER ORDER.
Tasting Notes: We have not yet tried this vintage of Concerto by Jean Pierre Robinot, but we hear it has notes of cranberry, pomegranate, raspberry, black pepper and a fine limestone lift.
