Hijas De Oro Mezcal Tobalá Joven is an artisanal mezcal from Oaxaca, Mexico. It is made from 100% wild Tobalá agave, harvested by hand.
The agave hearts are roasted in traditional underground pits. The mezcal is then distilled in small batches in copper stills.
On the nose you get roasted agave, floral herbs and tropical fruit, with a soft, earthy smoke. The palate shows citrus, herbal spice and light smoke over a natural sweetness. It finishes clean and smoky-sweet, with a little minerality.
Sip it neat to enjoy the wild agave character. It also shines in a smoky Margarita or Paloma. Try it with seafood, ceviche or dark chocolate.
