Description
Grand Marnier Natural Cherry pairs the house’s famous cognac and orange recipe with ripe cherries. The House of Marnier-Lapostolle released it as a limited edition for the 2012 holiday season.
The fruit is 100% natural Griotte cherries from a top European grower. They rest in neutral alcohol for three to four weeks. The cherry spirit is then blended with the same fine French cognacs used in Cordon Rouge, plus the brand’s bitter orange spirit.
In the glass it shows a deep red color with a glint of amber. The aroma opens on wild tropical orange, and ripe cherries follow close behind. Sip it and you get a lush, balanced mix of orange and cherry. The cognac rounds out the sweetness, and the finish is long.
Pour it chilled, over ice, or into a cherry twist on a classic cocktail. It also pairs well with dark chocolate or cheesecake.
As a limited release, it suits collectors and Grand Marnier fans.
