Description
Built from a mash of 80% Texas corn and 20% Oklahoma rye, Gold Bar Black Double Cask is a straight bourbon shaped by two distinct stages of wood. Three to six years in new American oak set its frame, then a finishing period in Napa Valley French oak wine barrels rounds the edges and adds depth. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 750 ml bottle, non-chill filtered so the texture and character stay intact.
The nose leans into rich caramel and vanilla, with oak and toasted nuts filling in behind. On the palate, bold smoke and spicy rye trade places with creamy fruit, moving through the sip and closing on a smooth, lingering sweetness.
