The Gonon 2021 St Joseph was a hard act to follow but Rick Kinzbrunner’s counterpart was up to the job. In fact it should really be labelled Syrah to give more of an idea of its transparency and savoury backbone. There was a smidgeon more obvious ripeness than was evident in the Gonon but no more.
