Description
Drawn from barrels filled during a single distilling season — Spring 2007 — this Tennessee whisky spent 13 years maturing before being pulled at the point the distillery judged it ready. The grain bill is 84% corn, 8% rye and 8% malted barley, and it follows the terms of The Bottled in Bond Act of 1897, meaning the whisky reaches the bottle unaltered in condition or character.
At 100 proof (50% ABV), the flavor runs through caramel and pecan into maple syrup and dried apple, closing with a structured oak finish. Neat or over ice both suit it. One 750 ml bottle of George Dickel Bottled in Bond Tennessee Whisky, Distilling Season Spring 2007, Aged 13 Years.
