Description
Look inside a bottle of G.E. Massenez Poire Prisonniere and you may find a whole pear suspended in the spirit — the result of a patient, traditional French method that gives each bottle its own character. The eau-de-vie itself is distilled from carefully chosen fruit and bottled at 40% ABV in a 750 ml format.
The flavor stays close to the orchard: fresh pear up front, a restrained sweetness, and delicate floral notes that carry through to a clean finish. It reflects the distillery’s focus on fruit selection and careful maturation rather than added embellishment.
