Description
“Fuyu” is the Japanese word for winter, a season associated with quiet, depth, and reflection. Made on Honshu Island, this small batch whisky combines malted grain and corn mash in measured proportion, then rests in oak barrels that build both body and complexity. It pours a dark amber and bottles at 40% ABV in a 750 ml format.
The aroma opens floral, with caramel and warm spice sitting underneath. Oak carries the palate, joined by cooked fruit and a soft trace of smoke on the close. The result is smooth and flexible enough to drink neat or to build classic cocktails around, including an Old Fashioned or a Manhattan.
