Description
Frey Ranch Cask Strength Bourbon, also called Farm Strength Uncut, comes from a family farm in Fallon, Nevada. Every grain is grown and distilled on the ranch.
The four-grain mash uses corn, winter rye, winter wheat and two-row barley. It is double distilled and bottled uncut, from 120 to 132 proof, with no chill filtration.
Caramelized brulee, cinnamon and nutmeg fill the nose. Butter cake, frosting, cloves, orange creamsicle and dried stone fruit follow. A hint of smoke and black cherry ends it.
It won Double Gold at the 2024 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Add a few drops of water, or build a bold Old Fashioned.
