Description
Flecha Azul was co-founded in 2017 by Mexican PGA golfer Abraham Ancer and entrepreneur Aron Marquez. Actor Mark Wahlberg later joined as a principal investor. The tequila is made from 100% blue Weber agave in the Tequila valley of Jalisco.
The agave is cooked in brick ovens and double distilled. This reposado then rests about six months in ex-bourbon American oak barrels. That short rest adds depth while the agave stays bright.
Pour a glass and you will see a warm golden color. The nose brings cooked agave, caramel and vanilla, with a little citrus. On the palate it stays crisp, much like the brand’s blanco. Citrus and a light grassy note meet praline, vanilla and gentle baking spice.
A touch of oak and peppery spice lingers as it fades. Nothing feels harsh, so it is easy to sip slowly. It earned a Silver medal at the 2025 Agavos Awards.
Enjoy it neat or over ice on a relaxed evening. It also makes a lively margarita or Paloma. Try it in a , or pair it with tacos, grilled meats and aged cheese.
