Description
Ryes of the Robots Extended Cut is a cask strength straight rye whiskey from Filmland Spirits, built on a mash of 95% rye and 5% malted barley. It matures in American white oak and goes into the 750 ml bottle at cask strength, landing between 54% and 56.04% ABV.
Mint and oak lead on the nose and carry through the palate, joined by chocolate and maple cream, while the long, robust finish turns toward fresh-baked sourdough. Distilled in Indiana, it takes water well — a single drop opens things up, though it holds together neat. A Gold Medal winner at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
