Bottled at cask strength between 114 and 117.5 proof, Moonlight Mayhem! Extended Cut is a straight bourbon made in Kentucky from a mash bill of 75% corn, 21% rye and 4% malted barley. Maturation takes place in American white oak, and the whiskey arrives in a 750 ml bottle at 57% ABV.
The nose leads with cherry and chocolate alongside rich caramel and vanilla, with oak and toasted nuts filling in behind. A creamy texture carries into a layered finish of cacao, leather and applewood, closing with a smooth sweetness that lingers. Serve it neat or loosen it with a splash of water.
