Description
Drawn from a single oloroso sherry cask, number 904, this special release from Yorkshire’s Filey Bay distillery bottles the whiskey from one vessel alone. The 700 ml bottle is filled at 59.2% ABV, a strength that carries the sherry wood’s influence without restraint.
Expect dark fruit and spice through the middle, with chocolate notes and a rich, layered complexity shaped by the cask. Because the release comes from one cask only, the quantity filled was fixed from the start, making each bottle a record of that particular maturation.
