Rest in oak gives this 750 ml tequila from Espiritu Alumbres its reposado character, with cooked agave still sitting at the center of the palate. Light oak and honey fill out the middle, and the finish stays clean at 40% ABV. The wood is measured rather than dominant, so the agave keeps its shape from first sip through the finish. That balance makes it drinkable on its own and equally workable in margaritas and other classic tequila cocktails.
