Description
Erstwhile Mezcal Joven Tepeztate and Tobala Ensamble brings two notable agave varieties together in a single unaged mezcal. Bottled at 44% ABV in a 750 ml format, it is an ensamble built to show what each agave contributes rather than smoothing them into one another.
Tepeztate and Tobala layer into a complex profile: agave depth up front, smoke running through, citrus lift and herbal notes, with a mineral edge and white pepper on the finish.
As a joven, it sees no time in wood, leaving the character of the agave and the traditional production methods behind it in full view.
