Bottled at 45% ABV in a 750 ml format, Erstwhile Mezcal Henequen Limited turns to the seldom-used Henequen agave. Production is kept to limited runs, and the distillate is made using ancestral methods that have long shaped mezcal. What sets it apart is the agave itself: Henequen brings a character that moves away from familiar mezcal territory, with floral top notes, herbal layers and smoke that stays in the background rather than taking over.
