Production details of Petillant Natural Xarello Muskat Frizzante: This Petillant Natural (Pet Nat) is made by Maria Barrena and Pep Tort Montserrat at Entre Vinyes in Penedès, Catalonia. The blend is Xarel·lo and Muscat from vines over 60 years old, rooted in limestone soil within the Foix Natural Park. Each variety is sorted and vinified separately in clay amphorae before being blended and bottled to finish fermentation in the ancestral style, without disgorgement and with no added sulphur.
Tasting Notes: We have not yet tried this vintage of Petillant Natural Xarello Muskat Frizzante by Entre Vinyes, but we hear it has notes of white flower, citrus blossom, green apple, ripe pear and a fine salty mineral finish.
