Remarkably enough this is even spicier than the Boudots with its cool and beautifully layered nose that features notes of Asian-style tea, violet, lavender, lilac, hoisin and sandalwood along with a wide range of dark berry scents. The refined and intense medium weight flavors brim with both minerality and dry extract that coat the palate on the once again strikingly long, harmonious and markedly firm finish. This restrained and elegant effort is also going to require extended cellaring. 94/2031+
