Description
Though this has not fulfilled quite all of the promise that I saw just after it was bottled, it is still quite a remarkable wine with its dazzlingly pure and incredibly fresh aromas that combine notes of rose petal, spice, earth, wet stone and mostly wild red currant scents that are beginning to display the initial hints of secondary development. The delicious, cool, tautly muscular and penetratingly mineral-inflected big-bodied flavors ooze with dry extract that pushes the still firm tannic spine to the background on the energy, driving, hugely persistent and impeccably well-balanced finish. This is still several years away from its peak though with an hour of air it could easily be enjoyed now. No other notes beyond the original that appeared in Issue 9. 95/2016+
