Description
is a producer situated in the heart of Burgundy. After taking the winery over in 2016, Julien Altaber and Carole Schwab decide they wanted to focus on low intervention, biodynamic wine.
Mercurey ‘La Plante Chassey’ 2017 MAGNUM is made with grapes from Burgundy’s Côte Chalonnaise on old vines. We have not yet tried this vintage, but hear it offers aromas of dark berries, dried flowers, spice, tobacco and an earthy complexity, alongside a some integrated volatile acidity, reductive notes and light oxidation
Expect this vintage to deliver richness and depth, while extended aging in magnum has preserved freshness and finesse.
