Description
Divino Maguey Mezcal Artesanal Tobala Joven comes from Oaxaca, Mexico, the heartland of traditional mezcal production, and carries the mezcal artesanal designation for time-honored production methods. It is made from tobalá, a small, slow-growing agave long prized by mezcaleros for the depth of flavor it yields, and bottled joven — unaged, straight from the still — so the character of the agave arrives untouched.
In the glass it pours crystal clear, opening with ripe tropical fruit, wild florals, and a wet-stone minerality on the nose. The palate follows with sweet roasted agave, mango, and citrus zest layered over green herbs, all wrapped in a soft, earthy smoke that supports the fruit rather than covering it. The finish runs long and mineral-driven, with white pepper and a delicate trail of smoke.
Tobalá bottlings reach the market in far smaller quantities than espadín, which makes this a natural pick for agave collectors and a standout gift for the mezcal drinker who has already worked through the familiar names. Pair it with the tequilas and mezcals in the agave selection to build a tasting flight across the category. Ships to most US states. Adult-signature required at delivery.
