Description
Part of the Double Double Collector’s Series honoring Scotland’s whisky regions, this strictly limited blended malt Scotch comes from Dewar’s four-stage ageing method. The Upper Highlands provided the inspiration here, and the whisky takes its final rest in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks once filled with Royal Brackla single malt, which lends the blend added depth and a sense of place.
At 38 years old, the liquid continues directly from the stock behind the previous year’s 37-year-old bottling, an approach that reflects Dewar’s idea of continuity, where every annual release grows out of the one before it. Bottled at 48.8% ABV in a 375 ml format, it is warm and complex, with oak, spice and dried fruit leading into a smooth, lingering finish.
