Description
Deux Familles Single Cask Grand Champagne Cognac is an exceptionally rare, single-cask cognac from a batch purchased in 2012 from winegrower Julien André in the prestigious Grande Champagne region, already 60 years old at the time of purchase. Bottled at 51% ABV (102 proof), it represents the pinnacle of single-cask individuality.
Over Six Decades in a Single Cask
This eau-de-vie was divided into three barrels, each capable of producing up to 570 bottles. Deux Familles’ Cellar Master selected an 80-year-old French Limousin oak cask to preserve the delicate finesse of the aged spirit while avoiding excessive tannin influence, and the cognac matured gracefully for roughly another 12 years in a serene, damp cellar, untouched by sugar or caramel.
