Description
Barely Legal from Dark Arts is built on a mashbill that walks the line: 51% corn and 49% rye, with the rye portion divided between traditional and malted varieties—a grain recipe that had not been offered before. Aged seven years and bottled at cask strength, it comes from an exclusive barrel tasting in Indiana, with nothing held back from the barrel.
Corn sweetness and rye spice trade places across the palate, while the malted rye adds a quieter layer underneath. The first sip leans toward honeyed chocolate, followed by cherry cola and citrus, with cinnamon spice running through the finish. A 750 ml bottle for drinkers who follow grain recipes as closely as the liquid itself.
