Description
Daou Patrimony Cave des Lions 2018 is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc that shows what the two grapes can do together. The color is exceptionally dark, but the first sip brings an unexpected profile of elegance and freshness carried by a wealth of minerality.
The nose opens with cassis, cured meats, coffee, licorice, dark chocolate and spice. The palate is full-bodied and flawlessly balanced, with ripe fruit, subtle oak and soft tannins leading to a smooth, refined finish that carries on at length.
Layered and complex, this 750 ml bottling is 14.9% ABV and is built to age beautifully for decades and continue to improve.
