Description
The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Lotus Vineyard is rich, creamy and expansive. Silky contours wrap around a core of dark red plum fruit, blood orange and spice, with a kick of French oak that lingers. The Lotus has come together very nicely. It represents a sort of middle ground between the Helms and Hershey, with more fruit and overall depth than the former, but less structure than the latter. I appreciate its mix of textural creaminess and vibrancy. I would prefer to drink the 2012 over the next decade or so.
