Bottled without time in wood, Cutwater Mezcal Joven goes straight from the still to the bottle, so the agave speaks for itself. At 45% ABV in a 750 ml format, the spirit leads with roasted agave and smoke, followed by pepper, herbaceous notes and a lift of citrus. Joven simply means young, and that is the point here: no aging to soften or shade the distillate, just a clear, full-proof read on the agave. It works served neat or built into modern cocktails.
