Crystal Head Vodka Pride 2023 Edition puts the brand’s original vodka in a limited-edition “Paint Your Pride” bottle. The famous skull comes in a wide range of colors. Extra shades honor people of color and transgender, non-binary and intersex people.
Inside is the same Crystal Head Original. Dan Aykroyd and artist John Alexander founded the brand, and Alexander designed the skull. The vodka is made in St. John’s, Newfoundland, from locally sourced Canadian corn.
It is distilled four times and filtered seven times. Three of those passes run through Herkimer diamond quartz crystals. The brand adds no glycerol, sugars, citrus oils or artificial flavorings.
The nose shows neutral grain with a delicate touch of citrus. On the palate it is silky smooth, with a hint of sweetness and vanilla. The finish turns sweet and creamy.
Serve it well chilled, or stir it into a martini or a citrus cocktail. Pair it with sushi or light canapés. The bright bottle makes a fun gift for Pride month and beyond.
