Description
Crown Royal Monarch 75 Canadian Whisky is a limited-edition blend made for the brand’s 75th anniversary. Crown Royal was first created for the 1939 royal visit of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. They were the first reigning monarchs to cross North America.
Master Blender Andrew MacKay hand-picked whiskies from the brand’s stocks, drawing on only 20 batches. A key part is rye whisky from the historic Coffey still at Gimli, Manitoba. Each bottle is individually numbered. It comes in a silver bag with a gold crown cap.
The nose is soft and inviting, with honey, light floral notes and a little grain. On the palate you get vanilla, caramel, dried fruit and deep, rich toffee, with soft spice. The finish is long and warm.
Sip it neat or over one large ice cube, perhaps with dark chocolate.
