Made with certified-organic fruit, the Cordella 2015 Brunello di Montalcino shows a note of scorched earth or burnt ember that I recognize from some of the other Brunelli from this warm and sunny 2015 vintage. The wine is not overripe per se, but the warm conditions of the vintage have instead endorsed toasted or charcoal-like aromas.
