Description
This bourbon from Cooperstown Distillery is bottled in a hand-blown glass decanter shaped like a regulation football, right down to the stitched laces and a stopper modeled on a pigskin. The decanter sits on a molded pedestal base built to resemble a football field, with yard lines and end zones rendered in fine detail, making the package as much a display piece as a bottle of whiskey.
Inside, the 750 ml, 45% ABV bourbon pours with aromas of rich caramel and vanilla, followed by layers of oak, toasted nuts, and a smooth sweetness that lingers. The pour is refined and easy-going, in keeping with the care that went into the vessel. It suits whiskey drinkers with an eye for detail and football fans who appreciate unusual craftsmanship.
