Description
Contraluz Reposado is the first cristalino mezcal ever made, built on Oaxacan technique with a modern turn. Mature 100% Espadín agave is cooked in underground stone ovens, double-distilled in copper stills, then rested six months in American oak barrels, which lends quiet vanilla, honey and cedar.
The barrel color is then stripped away through a small-batch activated charcoal filtration, leaving a clear spirit that keeps its full complexity while the flavor is refined. Green agave, orange and lemon peel, orange blossom and a thread of smoke sit in balance, closing sweet and long on cooked agave, clove and cacao. Bottled at 40% ABV in a 700 ml bottle whose shape takes after the agave piña.
