Description
Glasgow Blend takes its cue from the fuller, more flavor-packed whiskies long favored in Glasgow, drawing on recipes that date back a century. Malt makes up roughly 65% of the blend, pairing Highland and Islay single malts with Lowland grain whisky. Maturation happens across Sherry-seasoned butts, American oak barrels, hogsheads and custom French oak casks.
The nose leads with sherry and smoke. On the palate it’s full, bold and smoky, tying the rich spice and fruitcake-like character of Sherry cask aging to the maritime punch of Islay malt. Bottled at 43% ABV in a 750 ml bottle with natural color and no chill filtration, it works neat or with a splash of water in a tumbler or wine glass, and its extra weight gives whisky cocktails more depth before or after dinner.
